Stolen Dreams is a series of portraits of sleeping people in public spaces. Being asleep publicly is exposing and intimate and unconscious state of the being to the unknown, where facial expressions become beyond control and free. Intrigued by these peoples dreams I use photography as a ‘dream catcher’ machine trying to portray the unseen of the mind when asleep.
These pictures, other than being symbolic, touch on many issues around the social definitions of public and private.
